Maintaining Colour and Paint Standards

Part of our drive to ensure quality remains high at Midas is to ensure staff training and competencies are continuously monitored. One aspect is the routine Farnsworth-Munsell 100 HueColor Vision testing, usually referred to as arrangement tests for eye colour discrimination. As all Midas RIM mouldings are painted, the quality of paint finish and more importantly, the batch to batch colour consistency is really important when it comes to providing customers with a reliable and high quality product.

The aim of the test is to place coloured discs in the correct order which are provided in 4 batches of 22 different coloured discs. The test is a great way to identify any colour vision issues and helps Midas ensure that all staff involved within paint application, inspection and assembly are assessed and monitored for colour vision.

Results can vary year to year but we are thrilled to continue to achieve amazing results where 4 out of the 5 Midas team scored in the superior range of 0-16 - about 16% of the population typically achieve.

If you are interested in understanding a little more about the test and how your team might score, why not take a look at the online test for starters here
