This Haas VF9/50 Vertical Machining Centre brings even more capacity to our facilities. Specified with a heavy duty, robust 50 taper spindle the machine will be perfectly suited to machining both billet and cast aluminium as well as all of our composite boards With a work area of 2000mm x 1000mm this is the second VF9 at Midas, we found our 1st machine to be very versatile and with such a large work envelope it is ideal for all types of work both large and small, it was therefore an easy decision to add another to the factory floor Our portfolio of machines now numbers 6 Vertical centres and 1 Horizontal with a maximum single working envelope of 2.5m x 1.25m x 1m, we can of course manufacture much larger parts by utilising segmentation or multiple set ups. All materials are catered for from 0.1 density foam through to steel, although aluminium and harder tooling board are our specialities Ultimately it is our commitment to offer the quickest of lead-times that drove on this purchase. We always have a machine available for our CAE staff to utilise, this fact coupled with our full 24/7 lights out unattended working philosophy ensures all projects can be started immediately and the tightest of tool making lead-times adhered to We are very proud of our investment programme, we believe there is no better example of our commitment to our customers and our long term future, if you would like to see this and our other latest investments first hand please give us a call and we'll arrange your visit
