Dave Hodgson, The elected Mayor of Bedford, visits Midas
Midas had the pleasure of meeting and showing the Mayor of Bedford around our Company this week. It was an excellent opportunity to showcase our facilities and remind each other that UK Manufacturing is something to be proud of and worth supporting and investing in - by both local and national Government.
The Bedford Mayor currently holds the Portfolio for Economic Development and part of his remit is to forge stronger links with local businesses and his visit to Midas demonstrated this intention perfectly.
A number of topics were discussed that could assist our own economic development, most notably working together to develop training and apprentice opportunities as well as linking Midas up with other businesses in the borough that may be able to work with us or help us.
The mayors desire is to support and develop manufacturing in Bedford, here at Midas we hope that means we can look forward to the benefits this will bring to the local area and those of us that trade within it.
