After many years of loyal service and hardwork Melvyn Middleton has been appointed a Director of Midas Pattern Company Ltd Having joined the company on the 1st May 2001 Melvyn quickly took over financial responsibility from owner and MD Alan Rance. Looking after everything from Cash flow, Payroll, P & L/BS and ledger control right through to HR and legislation control Melvyn is now very much an intrinsic part of the team His promotion to Finance Director is recognition of his standing within the business and the responsibility he has for day to day financial control. In addition to his new title he has also taken up the role of Company Secretary, again a formalisation that recognises the work that he has been doing for some time now Alan Rance said 'Melvyn has worked hard to become my right hand man on finance, I trust him implicitly to look after the corporate finances and I know there is no one more loyal to the company or more dependable in such a role. Having such an all rounder on board means that I can concentrate on taking the business forward by building sales and infrastructure whilst Rachel can inspire customers to grow their trade with us whilst knowing the purse strings are in safe hands. It seems only right that he should be recognised for this support by taking up this appointment and I feel that this new title and responsibility are a worthy recognition of his endeavours.
