Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatments are becoming increasingly popular with the UK’s population. The British manufactured system is used widely to treat common aesthetic issues including hair removal, skin rejuvenation, anti-ageing, red vein removal among other various conditions.
The latest medical technology combines power, versatility and clinical efficiency to deliver the most advanced IPL treatments seen to date, offering a highly cost-effective option to practitioners.
With such an innovative product, the manufacturer was keen to package the science into a sleek and modern casework that was aesthetically pleasing, robust and easy-to-use. Our reputation for fast turnarounds and quality results meant we were awarded the contract for this exciting project. Working with the client’s chosen design partner, we were able to take advantage of our own MRIM™ tooling process to deliver the production parts.
The MRIM™ process starts with the manufacture of a composite resin mould tool directly from a CNC machined master pattern, ensuring the most complex of forms can be produced accurately, quickly and above all competitively.
Vertical faces, undercuts, metal inserts, bushes and features that would normally need to be machined, can all be cast into PU mouldings produced using our very own MRIM™ process.
To support the new sleek design, a two-colour satin paint finish was applied to give the product a distinct look. We also applied RFI/EMI shield paint to the inner surfaces to reduce the impact of various transmissions. We selected only hard-wearing, acrylic-based paints that would maintain their high-quality look whilst also being resilient to rigorous cleaning processes.
