With the final quarter of 2016 no more than a few days away, many project timescales are starting to look VERY tight and so the pressure starts to ramp for exhibition requirements, project deliveries and design sign offs.

Over the last couple of months we have supported a number of companies with the following processes, all with incredibly compressed lead-times and requiring high quality paint finishes - multi-coloured and gloss :-
Wall Section Models: Manufactured wall section models, correct to 3D CAD data to help with design validation on large technical product (1.5 M tall) with multiple panels to create a complete enclosure - 7 in total. The finished models included both top coat painting, in two colours and RFI shield coat to ensure both design verification and regulatory aspects could all be checked and parts were used for demo and short term install units.
FASTrim tooling: Manufactured 2 variants of covers using modular tooling for new laboratory instrument to hit product launch in 3 weeks, including 2 initial sets. Ideal for quick responses/tight deadlines, beta machine development or ultra-low volumes. 2-3 week lead-times possible, fully finished and in UL 94 V0 rated material so you can sell parts!
MRIM tooling: Currently manufacturing large suite of MRIM composite production tooling for product development and bridge phase. Long-term, products will be manufactured using structural foam due to higher volumes but with an initial requirement to install up to 200 units over the coming months MRIM tooling is ideal for 'bridge' or short term production method.
The MRIM process allows low volume design verification before expensive metal tooling is manufactured, bridge tooling for intermediate volumes or long-term production for low volume/large covers where you are looking for between 10-2000 off each year.
