Navigating Regulatory Approvals and Audit Expectations

With over 30 years in business it's fair to say we have seen quite a few changes in terms of legal and regulatory requirements at Midas.

Having always focussed on producing the most challenging parts; the largest, and most complex parts we have continually pushed the boundaries on process capabilities.  This has ensured both our success but has also driven our knowledge and experience in the ever changing regulatory landscape.

Medical, Medtech, Life-Science and Laboratory equipment, aerospace and specialist vehicle markets are just some of the sectors where polyurethane RIM moulding fits really well. They have a low volume requirement for high quality finished parts to enshroud high value technology, electronics or science.  One thing that they also have in common is a myriad of regulations such as material traceability, supplier approvals, compliance and regular audits.

So if you are looking for a moulding company that can successfully support and navigate you through all your quality and regulatory requirements, get in touch.

  • We understand and comply with REACH, RoHs and Conflict Mineral requirements and are happy to support on-site audits
  • We are certified to ISO 9001:2015 but we understand the overlaps with ISO13485 and Medical Device regulators to make sure the mouldings we supply to you conform with your regulatory requirements.
  • All our Polyurethane RIM mouldings are certified to UL94 V0 (Flammability) so you can confidently ship worldwide.
  • We can offer EMC shield coating to achieve UL746C to control RF emissions. In fact, we are the only UK RIM company that can provide this service for rigid polyurethane resins offered at Midas.

We are also passionate about being a responsible manufacturing company – ethically and environmentally.  Take a look at our Green Initiative for more insight or watch our video below...

If you are embarking on the development of a new product or innovation and would like an initial meeting or would like to see the process and facilities first-hand, contact Rachel and the team to make the arrangements.
