At the London Hilton Hotel, in the Grand Ballroom, in front of 800 people representing all that is good about UK plastic moulding, TV Comedian Tim Vine announced that Midas, although not winners for the 3rd year in succession, had been ‘Highly Commended’ for our entry in this year’s competition.
This is a tremendous and noteworthy achievement, so we would like to say a ‘Very Well Done’ to all those involved in making the tooling at Midas and all those who continue to strive to make Midas the wonderful Tool making and Moulding company that it is. In the 3 years that we have competed in this category, no-one has ever been ‘Highly Commended’ before!!
Possibly it just wasn’t appropriate for us to win 3 years in a row, we don’t know but we are glad the judges had a tough call this year, whatever the case was It is great to know that our excellent tool making capability has been recognised once again and we would like to pass our congratulations onto Sprint Tool and Die Ltd, worthy winners indeed, we are pleased to have at least given you a 'run for your money' this year!
