Following the Midas' team’s previous adventures on the 3 Peaks Challenge it will come as no surprise to hear that we have several 'outdoor' types on the staff list! However there is a big difference between taking on a UK mountain at around 1000 metres and taking on the most intimidating that the whole of Europe has to offer - Mont Blanc at nearly 5000 metres! One of our longest serving CAD/CAM engineers, Darren Franklin, has recently done exactly that and following careful preparations, training and application of effort he succeeded in climbing this massive peak. Here at Midas we are mightily impressed at his achievement, those of us that took part in the 3 peaks challenge know just how difficult climbing mountains can be, and to tick Mont Blanc of your list is really very impressive, Darren is a quite, diligent worker who we never underestimate, this huge achievement is a credit to him and his resolve, anyone who has walked the Arête from the Aiguille du Midi will testify to the courage required WELL DONE DARREN !
