A Symbolic Moment at Shocott Spring

Following the visit by Bedford Mayor, Mayor Dave Hodgson MBE to Midas, the team made the short journey to Shocott Spring - the location for Midas woodland investment.

And what a stunning location it is!

We took the opportunity to take some video footage from this ceremonial tree planting day so we could share this fabulous occasion with you.

You can learn more about our community partnership with the Forest of Marston Vale and understand a little more about why we signed a 5-year deal with the local woodland charity by popping over to our dedicated woodland page.  The official press release details a little more about the type of trees we have planted and with thoughts from both Alan Rance, Midas MD, and James Russell, Forest Director.

By spending time in these woodland areas, it becomes very obvious what a task increasing tree cover really is. We must continue to support and applaud the work done by organisations such as the Forest of Marston Vale. There are many schemes across the country that are planting trees and rewilding areas - perhaps you could work in partnership with them on your journey to carbon net-zero?

With Midas's support, our local woodland charity will be able to plant a further 2,500 trees to help the #ClimateEmergency whilst providing new habitat and recreational areas for locals to enjoy.
